Cody Lane
Having always been passionate about conserving endangered species and ecosystems, Cody pursued a B.S. in wildlife biology at the University of Wisconsin. After graduating in 2015, he spent the next seven years working abroad and throughout the United States on ecological research and endangered species conservation projects varying from studies on predator-prey eco-evolutionary relationships to endangered seabird monitoring and invasive species control.
In 2022, he joined University of Montana’s Boone and Crockett Wildlife Conservation Lab as an M.S. student to study the impacts of aspen stands on bird community composition following wildfire in montane, mixed-conifer forests in western Wyoming. His research interests focused on applying robust analytical methods to answering pressing ecological questions that inform management actions for endangered species.
In his free time, he enjoyed backpacking, birdwatching, and exploring new natural spaces.
